How Often to Wash a Washcloth
Nov 18th 2014
Washcloths and towels have become everyday essentials when it comes to the care and hygienic maintenance of the face and body.
But what measures should be taken in order to care for the washcloth?
A wet or damp towel is a breeding ground for bacteria and mold. Forgetting to clean it as often as it should be can lead to major problems that no one wants to deal with. That’s why proper steps must be taken. For starters, washcloths should only be used one time before being washed again. Full-sized body towels have some more leeway (since they don’t become as wet) of about three or four uses.
Towels should be hung to dry, and then placed in the washer. If this is not done, bacteria will thrive on the cloths. The whole purpose of using a washcloth is the get yourself clean. If this can’t be completed because the vehicle itself is not clean, it’s simply a waste of time. In order to maintain proper washcloth care, don’t forget to wash after every use.
