Determining Bath Towel Quality
Feb 22nd 2016
At Towel Hub we care about delivering quality towels.
Bath towels are arguably one of the most important kinds of towels when it comes to quality – given their intimate and everyday uses. Here is a brief guide to help in determining bath towel quality:
- How absorbent are your towels? Loops carry moisture in towel fabric. Many towels have cotton woven into loops to absorb moisture. If you want to test a towel’s absorbency, try dropping a few drops of water on your bath towel. If the water absorbs immediately, this is a sign that you’ve got a good towel.
- The importance of density. GSM (grams per square meter) refers to the density of your towel. GSM ratings of around 500 – 600 are indicative of a very dense and thick towel. When it comes to bath towels, definitely look for higher GSM values.
- Quality fibers are crucial when it comes to a good bath towel. Towel Hub offers high quality Egyptian Cotton and 100% cotton bath towels. When fibers are woven into a soft texture with some weight, this tells you that you’re dealing with a high quality product.
When it comes to bath towels, quality should always come first!
