Dealing with the Cold or Flu?

If you are experiencing a cold or flu, here are some tips below to relieve your symptoms:
- Use a humidifier. This will help your breathing and ease congestion. If you don’t have one, boil a pot of water with ginger and breath in the steam. Use a towel to wrap the pot and keep it warmer for longer.
- Stay hydrated. It’s important to replenish fluids regularly especially when you’re immune system is working harder to help you recover.
- If you are experiencing a fever, wet a hand towel with lukewarm water and then place on your head for several minutes. This will provide some relief by cooling your body and removing sweat as well.
- Keep it bland. To avoid problems with digestion while sick, focus on eating foods that don’t require much energy to process and aren’t too acidic such as bananas and applesauce.
